For four years, Kearney Powersports has had three blood drives per year, bringing in usually 30 to 35 units each time. Saturday's event is the second one this year, exceeding their goal with 42 pints of blood.
Organizers say they're proud to be able to help the community.
"The community, the local community really helps us out, they support us in all the benefits we do," said store owner Craig Stokebrand. "So this is just another way that we can try to give back and show the support that we get all the time and help support the community.
Kearney Powersports' next blood drive will be in September, but if you missed out on Saturday's blood drive, you can participate in NTV's Tri-city Red Cross blood drive on May 5th in Kearney, Hastings and Grand Island.
