In February 2013, Kris Tripe was diagnosed with MultipleMyeloma, a form of cancer that originates in bone marrow. Kris sufferedsignificant damage to vertebrae, her kidneys, and other lesions on her bonesfrom the cancer.

After 53 days in the hospital, some extensive surgeries,a stem cell transplant and more tests than anyone could imagine, Kris hasgotten the upper hand and her cancer is in remission. Now her focus turnsto cleaning up the mess that was made and her ongoing treatment as this form ofcancer is never technically "gone". Throughout all of this, Kris has keptan incredible outlook and put up an amazing fight. The treatments havebeen long and not always geographically convenient, needless to say.

Theyhave also not been cheap, as the medical bills from this fight are staggering, even with insurance. That is why we hope you will join us for a benefitto help give a hand up and show support for a person that has been there for somany other people when they needed someone. If you are in a position tohelp, we welcome donations of any amount to help offset the costs of thisfight. This is a great chance to do something great to help a goodperson. We hope you will join us to show support for someone who stareddown some of the ugliest things cancer has to offer, and keeps on punchingback.
