State officials have made it one stepcloser to a new airplane after the move suffered a rejection last year.
Law-makers recently passed a bill thatwould allow the Department of Aeronautics to buy a new aircraft. The suggestedtwin-engine aircraft could cost up to $3.8 million. Part of the money wouldcome from selling off current airplanes.
Last year lawmakers rejected GovernorHeineman's budget request to spend $2.5 million on a new plane.
