Lexington Man Sentenced to Prison for December Stabbing

A 22-year-old man has been sent to prison for fatally stabbing another Lexington resident.

After making a deal with prosecutors, Navor Millan pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of manslaughter.

Millan was sentenced to 12 to 20 years in prison on Monday in Dawson County. In addition to this sentencing, he was given another two to five years for a weapons charge.

Police say Millan stabbed Douglas Matzar several times. Following the stabbing, Millan called an ambulance. When police arrived, he informed investigators of the stabbing.

The incident occurred in December.
