Anyone interested in volunteering to help with Kearney's Centennial Celebration of the Lincoln Highway is invited to attend a planning committee meeting at the Museum of Nebraska Art on Tuesday, April 9 at 6:30 pm.
The Centennial Celebration is a two-day event in Kearney set for Sunday, June 30, and Monday, July 1, in downtown Kearney and at the Great Platte River Road Archway.

Approximately 250 volunteer positions will be needed to be filled over the two days of the event, with most shifts being two to four hours. People will be needed to help with various jobs including information booths, traffic, serving meals, re-enactors, and directing traffic for classic cars. The downtown celebration on June 30 and July 1 will feature twin auto tours arriving from both coasts.
