Lincoln Man Sentenced for Child Abuse Charge
A Lincoln man has been given prison time for severely beating his infant son last year.
A district judge gave 23-year-old Anthony Souza four to five years in prison for a child abuse charge.
Authorities say Souza threw his six-month-old son into a bedroom which caused him to hit a door frame and closet. The incident occurred in December.
The infant spent several days in the hospital where he suffered several injuries including broken bones and skull fractures.
Souza pleaded no contest in May as part of a deal with prosecutors.
