The skills and ideals learned through FFA can leave a lasting impact on young adults, and local chapters have been exploring the many traits that the organization has to offer.

When many people hear the term FFA they automatically think agriculture, and while agribusiness is an important factor to FFA, it's also preparing young adults for the real world.

This week, FFA workshops across the area have been focusing on leadership, the students' role in the organization, as well as the different opportunities available to them through the FFA program.

"Each fall the Nebraska FFA offers seven regionally located impact workshops. And impact is not an acronym for anything. It means that we want the leaders in our state and our members to be able to make an impact on the people in their communities and other people at home in their FFA chapters," says Nebraska FFA State Officer Coordinator Anita Wollenburg.

The "I believe in Leadership Workshop" was attended by nearly four hundred area students Monday and will continue across the greater area throughout the week.
