Man Gets Prison Following Retrial of Abuse Case
A former State Developmental Center worker convicted ofabusing developmentally disabled adults has been sentenced to prison.
Matthew Pangborn was given up to 15 years in prison, ordered to serveconsecutive sentences on three counts of abusing a vulnerable adult and twocounts of strangulation.
Pangborn agreed to plea no contest to the charges after prosecutors dropped four additional charges.
Pangborn was originally sentenced to 15 to 23 years in2012, but the Nebraska Supreme Court later determined he should beretried because a chart prosecutors made shouldn't have been given tothe first jury during deliberations.
