The Museum of Nebraska Art is highlightinga selection of photographs taken by Wright Morris to commemorate the 100thanniversary of the Lincoln Highway.
Morris is a writer known for his autobiographicalnovels -- many of which depict the Nebraska plains. Eventually, his interest in photography led him to combine his writing and his photos into "photo-texts" that portray Nebraska's history.
The exhibit will run from June 25 until Sept. 8 at the museum.
The photographs, taken between 1941 and1954, feature glimpses of American life along the Lincoln Highway. They depictareas spanning from Washington, D.C., through Nebraska and on into California.
