Mother, Boyfriend in Court Facing Charges of Child Abuse Resulting in Death

Matthew Edwards

Amanda Pecor and her boyfriend, Matthew Edwards are each facing a charge of negligent child abuse resulting in death for the shooting death of Pecor's four-year-old son.

Police say Pecor's nine–year–old son shot Beau Pecor with a .22 rifle on April 18, killing him.

Court records say the gun belonged to Edwards.

During her arraignment, Pecor tearfully asked for time to hire her own attorney and to have her bond revoked. Edwards asked for the same at his arraignment.

However, the court ordered them to remain in jail on bond while they find lawyers.
