National Day Encourages Individuals to Consider End of Life Decisions

Good health care planning is all about talking to your loved ones about your values, wishes and desires, before they need to speak on your behalf. Doing this before a health crisis occurs allows clearer decisions to be made, and spares loved ones from needless stress and anxiety.

National Health Care Decision Making Day is on April 16, and health care officials are encouraging people to start the conversation about end of life matters.

Go to to find helpful information or pick up helpful booklets called Caring Conversations from two locations in Kearney. These booklets give individuals step by step tools to communicate their wishes.

The booklets can be found at AseraCare Hospice, 308-698-0580 or Sentinel Health, 308-865-2706.
