Nebraska Ranks Seventh in States Considered "Happiest in the Nation"
Nebraska is the seventh happiest state in the country according to a poll trying to find the happiest place in the nation.
The 2012 Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index looks at six areas that would affect a person's well being. Gallup surveyed nearly 354,000 respondents over the age of 17.
Nebraska moved up one spot from 2011's poll.
The poll also looks at 188 metropolitan areas across the United States, and Lincoln, Neb. topped that list for 2012. The city jumped from 118th in 2011 to first place in 2012 in the work environment category.
Omaha came in at 27th overall in the metropolitan category.
