The Nebraska State Patrol says they have been reaccredited for another three years by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.
The agency earned the gold standard accreditation with excellence, the highest level of accreditation awarded by the group.
The Nebraska State Patrol had to show that it complied with nearly 500 standards the national group has set for law enforcement agencies.
State Patrol Superintendent Col. David Sankey said, "Obtaining this level of recognition is a truereflection of the hard work and dedication of all of our employees. We areextremely proud of this accomplishment."
The accreditation is valid for three years as long as the Nebraska State Patrol continues to comply with the group's standards.
