According to GasBuddy, a gasoline price-tracking website, Nebraska's rate fell 3.6 cents per gallon over the past week keeping Nebraska's average well below the national rate of $3.62, which has remained mostly unchanged over the past month.
"The drop that we had observed in the national average weeks ago took a pause over the last week," said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan.
However, there will likely be some good news for motorists in the coming week. DeHaan says drivers can expect to see prices drop more as Memorial Day approaches.
Including the change in gas prices in Nebraska during the past week, prices are nearly 63 cents per gallon lower than this time last year and are 10.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
