No injuries have been reported in a partial grain silo collapse at the CPI-Lansing elevator near Fairmont.
One of the eight 150-foot-tall silos at the operation failed Tuesday afternoon spilling some of the grain. Elevator employees spotted a crack in the silo Tuesday, but the concrete gave way before they could make any repairs.
Structural engineers are inspecting the silo to determine what went wrong and how the silo can be repaired.
The eight-silo operation opened in March.
