North Platte police have released the name of a second man involved in an altercation outside a North Platte home.

Police say 32-year-old Eli Brown has been cited for third degree assault in connection to an incident outside another man's home on Jan. 23.

A 51-year-old man told police two men were outside his home trying to break the windows on his car. He says he went outside to confront the men after hearing what sounded to him like fireworks.

The man, who police are not identifying, said the men began attacking him, choking and punching him and threatening him with a knife.

The other alleged attacker, 46-year-old Todd Warren, was initially arrested on a charge of attempted first degree murder, but the charge has since been amended to attempted second degree assault and terroristic threats.

The case has been sent to the Lincoln County Attorney's Office for further action.
