Lincoln – Many will be seeing "green" on St. Patrick's Day, but the Nebraska State Patrol will be adding a little blue and red to the mix.
Troopers will be conducting high visibility enforcement efforts over the St. Patrick's Day holiday in an effort to crack down on impaired driving and reduce the chance for alcohol related crashes.
Troopers and communication specialists for the Nebraska State Patrol will be working overtime Thursday through Monday to enhance their presence on the streets. The overtime is funded in part by a $15,620 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.
Special enforcement efforts will include high visibility patrols, multi-agency sobriety checkpoints and DUI selectives. For information on specific enforcement activities call your nearest State Patrol Troop Area Headquarters.
