A deadly crash closed Highway 30 between Grand Island and Chapman for four hours Saturday.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, Korey McHenry, 28, was driving east on Highway 30 near Lockwood Road around 5:00p.m. when his truck crossed the center line, hitting an oncoming semi.
McHenry, of Grand Island, was killed. Thedriver of the semi was taken to a local hospital.
Authorities said McHenry was notwearing his seatbelt.
Merrick County Attorney Lynelle Homolka said a third vehicle was "peripherally involved."
Chapman Fire, Grand Island Rural Fire, the Nebraska State Patrol, Merrick County Sheriff's Office and Attorney were all on the scene.
