The Central Platte Natural Resources District has announced they will be conducting two emergency storm disaster meetings to help get information to farmers who have suffered crop damage due to recent storms.

The meetings will be held on Thursday, July 17. The meeting at the American Legion Club, 1029 Court St., in Gibbon will take place at 9 a.m. The meeting at the Blue Hill Community Center, 555 W. Gage St., in Blue Hill will follow at 2 p.m.

Experts will be presenting and answering questions from the public on replanting options, crop insurance, cover crops and other related topics.

The NRD says landowners are encouraged to bring in samples of their damaged crops for a damage assessment.
