Nationstar mortgage, a Lewisville, Texas-based company, says 105 jobs will be eliminated from its Scottsbluff office at the end of the month.
Company spokesman John Hoffmann says the cuts will begin March 28. The office will keep 215 loan workers in the loan servicing office, in addition to 50 contractor positions not held by Nationstar employees.
Hoffmann says the demand for mortgages has slowed leaving less work to be done by workers in loan origination and servicing.
In November, the company announced it was eliminating 900 jobs company-wide, including 300 employees who were working for a division that was sold to another mortgage company.
Other jobs were eliminated at offices in St. Louis, Denver and at the home office in Lewisville, Texas.
