Photo Walk Encourages Photographers to See Kearney Differently

Local photographers participated in a new event that had them seeing Kearney through the lens of a camera.

Photographer and instructor Catrina Gray encouraged photographers of all skill levels to participate in a photo walk.

Participants are given the opportunity to collaborate without feeling any pressure. And while photography is purely subjective, this walk is an opportunity for them to share what they see.

"That's what is lovely, everybody's perspective is different, so we're going to hopefully get a lot of different perspectives," said coordinator Catrina Gray. "Because not one perspective is the right perspective. My perspective may be different than yours, doesn't mean it's wrong."

Saturday's event also included a post–walk photo contest among the participants. The instructor hopes to continue the walk each season.
