Update: Arrest Warrant Issued for Suspect in Holdrege Robbery

Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for a Kentucky man who they believe is responsible for using a knife to aid in the theft of a woman's purse at the Dollar General in Holdrege.

The Holdrege Police Department issued the warrant Wednesday for Steven Malone after obtaining video footage of the suspect from gas stations in Buffalo County where the victim's credit card was reportedly used.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 30s, between 5' to 5'6. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, jeans and cowboy boots.

Police also have released a picture of the black Chevy S-10 pickup Malone is believed to be driving, which is believed to have a black tool box in the bed of the truck. The pickup has no plates but authorities believe there may be a temporary tag from Kentucky on the back bumper.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Holdrege Police Department at 308.995.4407.
