A 19-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with an alleged bank robbery in Waco.
Hanna Sabata was arrested Wednesday on a warrant after tips from callers -- who recognized Sabata in surveillance images from the alleged heist -- led authorities to her, York County Sheriff Dale Radcliff said in a press release Wednesday.
Police say Sabata walked into the Cornerstone Bank Tuesday afternoon and handed the teller a note that said: "This is a robbery. I have a gun, and you only have two minutes." The teller gave the woman money, and she fled the scene in a getaway car.
The car -- a silver Pontiac Grand Prix -- had been reported stolen earlier in the afternoon. The Polk County Sheriff's Department recovered the car just south of Stromsburg later that night.
The York and Polk County Sheriff Departments seized money and other undisclosed items at Sabata's home during a search. It's unclear how much money Sabata allegedly took from the bank.
