      Grand Island - Tax season has come to a close and that means many may have leftoverdocuments containing sensitive information. Bank statements, credit cardstatements, voided checks and tax returns all examples of documents thatcontain information you don’t want anyone else to get their hands on.

      It’s important that these documents are properly disposed of in order toprotect yourself from identity theft.

      Shredding is a quick and safe way to get rid of sensitive documents andif you don’t have access to one at home or work the 4th AnnualCommunity Shred Day in Grand Island might be a good solution for you.

      Bring no more than three boxes or bags of paper to the Skagway parkinglot at 1607 S. Locust Street from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. For a minimum$5 donation your documents will be safely disposed of. All of the donations goto the Central Nebraska Child Advocacy Center and Crime Stoppers.
