      Public Hearing to be Held for Eleventh Judicial District Judge Vacancy

      A public hearing has been set to discuss candidates vying for the open position of County Judge of the Eleventh Judicial District.

      The district includes Arthur, Chase, Dawson, Dundy, Frontier, Furnas, Gosper, Hayes, Hitchcock, Hooker, Keith, Lincoln, Logan, McPherson, Perkins, Red Willow and Thomas Counties.

      The hearing will be held Thursday, March 14, in the District Court Courtroom at the Dawson County Courthouse in Lexington. The meeting will start at 10:30 a.m. and the public is invited to attend and present information concerning possible candidates.

      The position was left vacant following the retirement of Judge Carlton Clark.

      Individualsinterested in applying for the position can obtain a Judicial VacancyApplication package from the Nebraska Judicial Branch website. Completed applications may be submitted electronically or by hard copy and mustbe received no later than 4:30 p.m., Thursday, February 21.
