      Red Cross Sending Aid to Oklahoma, Shares How You Can Help

      TheAmerican Red Cross has sent specialized disaster relief teams to Oklahoma to aid those affected by Monday's devastating tornadoes.

      They have sent workers with supplies and equipment to the area, but more help is needed. The organization has asked for individuals wanting to help in the relief efforts to send a donation to American Red Cross Disaster Relief.

      They can donate byvisiting www.redcross.org,calling 1-800-RED CROSS or texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10donation. These donations help provide food, shelter and emotional support tothose affected by disasters.

      TheRed Cross says they've deployed almost 30 emergency response vehicles to distribute food andrelief supplies and more are on alert. In addition, two Southern Baptist Convention kitchensand kitchen support trailers will join the relief effort with the ability toserve tens of thousands of meals a day.

      Emergencyaid stations will open where people can get food and snacks, mental health andhealth services and information about what help is available. Shelters have also been set up across parts of the Oklahoma City area.
