Repaving Work to Begin on Stretch of Highway 91

BURWELL, Neb. (AP) -- Repaving and other work has been scheduled on a stretch of Nebraska Highway 91 in central Nebraska.

The construction activity is scheduled to begin the week of April 8. The project runs from the Loup County line east to Burwell.

The Nebraska Department of Roads says the $1.32 million contract includes pavement repair, milling and a 4-inch asphaltic concrete overlay on the five-mile highway segment.

Flaggers and a pilot car will guide traffic, and load width will be limited to 12 feet.

The department says the project is expected to be finished by June.
