Search Turns Up Body of Western Nebraska Rollover Crash Victim
The body of a 23-year-old Broadwater Nebraska man has been found following a rollover crash in western Nebraska.
Morrill County Sheriff Milo Cardenas says the body of Cutter Abel was found around 6:45 Friday morning. Cardenas says it was Abel's father who found the body. He joined the search after rescue teams reported difficulties finding the driver or any possible victims in the dark.
Cardenas says Abel was alone in the car. The accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. Friday as Abel was headed east on Nebraska Highway 92. Officials say his car ran across the road into the north ditch, which runs next to the North Platte River.
Abel was ejected into the river, according to Cardenas. The sheriff also says speeding and alcohol appear to have been factors in the crash.
An autopsy has been ordered.
