A second man arrested in connection with the armed robbery at the Conoco Motel in Grand Island now faces eight felony charges.
20-year-old Feysal Sharif-Yusuf, of Grand Island, was arrested Tuesday and charged with robbery, burglary, first degree assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony and possession of a defaced firearm.
Sharif-Yusuf is accused in the robbery along with Hussein Hussein who was previously arrested.
Sharif-Yusuf made his first court appearance on Wednesday. He told the judge, "I was sleeping when this happened."
Officers didn't have far to go to arrest Sharif-Yusuf, something they did while he was visiting the jail.
Four women living at the motel were robbed Sunday morning reporting somewhere between $16-18,000 in cash was stolen along with computers, iPads and some other things.
The county attorney says four men entered the room with weapons threatening the women as they took the women's things.
The police are continuing to investigate this incident.
Sharif-Yusuf and Hussein are each being held on $100,000 bond.
