      Second Traffic Stop at Utica I-80 Exit Leads to Meth Seizure

      Two California men are behind bars following the second traffic stop in a week at the Utica exit of Interstate-80 that led to a drug bust.

      Fausto Jacques Jr., 43, Chula Vista, Calif., and apassenger in his vehicle, Francisco Frias-Felix, 60, San Ysidro, Calif., were both taken to the Seward County Jail after a State trooper found 17.5 lbs of meth in the car.

      Just after noon on Monday, Oct.15, a trooper stopped a 2006 Nissan Armada heading west on I-80 for following too close.

      Jacques gave the trooper consent tosearch the vehicle, which led to the discovery of 12 packages ofmeth. The drugs, with an estimated street value of $554,000, were found in a spare tire.

      Jacques and Frias-Felixwereboth lodged in the Seward County Jail, and charged with possession of acontrolled substance with intent to deliver.
