Sex Offender Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Child Enticement
A registered sex offender from Bayard, Neb. was sentenced Thursday to 20-25 years behind bars for charges of child enticement.
Matthew Crable, 24, pleaded no contest to a charge of enticement by electronic communication device after reaching an agreement with prosecutors in December.
Authorities began to investigate Crable after a telephone traced to him was used to send text messages to an 11-year-old girl. Then an investigator posing as a 13-year-old girl started communicating with him through texts. He was arrested in September after he asked the investigator to meet him for sex.
Crable originally was convicted in March 2011 of attempted first-degree sexual assault of a child.
