Fire crews in central Nebraska were busy again Monday afternoon, but on a much smaller scale.

The fire was in rural Buffalo County just west of 56th and Willow roads. A tree pile fire rekindled from a burn last Friday.

The call came across about 4:45 p.m., and it took crews about an hour to get the scene under control. Crews were also seen working on a tree line just south of the tree pile.

A payloader was brought in to cover the trees with dirt.

Fire crews from both Gibbon and Shelton Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the call.
