Six Dawson, Gosper County Businesses Found Non-Compliant in NSP Checks

Six businesses were found to be selling alcohol to minors during recent compliance checks in Dawson and Gosper counties.

The Nebraska State Patrol conducted compliance checks at 25retail outlets over the weekend. They found four businesses in Dawson County and two businesses in Gosper County were non-compliant after selling alcohol to a minor.

NSP officials say they conduct compliance checks to decrease youth access to alcohol.

The Nebraska Office of Highway Safety gave the office a grant of $880 for the compliance checks.

Troopers also performed high visibility patrols in the area, issuing citations and warnings for violations such as speeding and not having proof of insurance or registration.
