Gusting winds Wednesday had firefighters busy all across central Nebraska, including at a grass fire along Interstate 80 near Shelton.

The Wood River and Shelton volunteer fire departments were called to the scene and were able to put the small fire out in about an hour.

Officials aren't sure what caused the blaze that led to reduced visibility along the interstate from blowing ash.
