The SO Strong Seth Ostrander Benefit is being held Sunday, May 19 to help raise money for a Hastings teen who has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Seth, a student at Adams Central, was diagnosed with the tumor in September 2012. It is located near his optical nerves which has forced his surgery to be done in stages so as to not compromise his vision.
The money raised at the benefit will go towardsmedical and other associated expenses.
The event features food (for a free will donation), live music, a silent auction and bake sale items. The benefit is being held at the Hastings City Auditorium, Fourth Street and Hastings Avenue, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
