The U.S. soybean industry continues to be a leader in food production, and ensuring competitiveness in the global market is key for Nebraska farmers.
Over the course of the week, area farmers are gathering for the annual Soybean Management Field Days.
And in a world where soybeans are becoming more profitable for farmers, it's important that they are as informed about their crop as possible.
"As a farmer we're always trying to improve our sustainability of our soybean production. So it's a good way for farmers to come out and learn new ways to produce soybeans more sustainability," says Vice President of the Nebraska Soybean Association, Ken Boswell.
The four day event focuses on various training seminars which are put on by the UNL Extensions program, and draws a large audience each year.
