Teddy Bear Toss at Storm Hockey to benefit children in need
One of the most popular traditions in hockey returns to the Viaero Event Center Saturday when the Tri-City Storm hosts its annual Teddy Bear Toss game against Sioux City. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Fans are encouraged to bring a new teddy bear to the game and throw it on the ice when the Storm score its first goal. Bears will be collected for distribution to area families and children in need through the following organizations:
Kearney - Family Advocacy Network, S.A.F.E Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, Crossroads *Center, Head Start and Women, Infants and Children programs.
*Grand Island – Crisis Center and Hope Harbor.
*Lexington – Dawson County Courthouse, Parent-Child Center and YMCA.

Fans also will have an opportunity to buy bears that night at the Viaero Event Center for $5.
