The attorney for a 16-year-old accused of attempted murder in North Platte wants the case moved to juvenile court.

The attorney entered a not guilty plea Monday for the teen, but he says he intends to file a motion to move the case to juvenile court.

Authorities say the teen was accompanied by 18-year-old Kennan Lambert in the stabbing of two female staff members at the youth center on July 9.

Officials say the two teens fled the scene in an employee's stolen car, which was pulled over later the same day on Interstate 80.

The two women were taken to taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Lambert's attorney, P. Stephen Potter, said Tuesday he doesn't believe the state's evidence supports the attempted murder charge his client is facing.
