Police say thieves made off with a teepee canvas from a Grand Island museum over the weekend.

Grand Island Police said the $1,400 canvas was taken from Stuhr Museum between 9:45 p.m. Friday and 8:15 a.m. Saturday.

Museum staff said it weighed between 80 and 100 pounds.

Police said they believe the thieves walked away with the canvas because no vehicle tracks were visible.
