Rep. Adrian Smith has officially filed for re-election to represent Nebraska's Third District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Smith, of Gering, has been a representative for the Third District since 2007. His office says that in that time he has worked to reduce the size and scope of federal government, and has advocated for issues facing rural Nebraska and agriculture.
Smith says he will fight for "common sense" solutions to promote economic growth, and "to stop the federal government from harassing farmers, ranchers, and entrepreneurs."
Additionally, Smith says he will continue to work making fixes to the national budget.
