Three Teens Suspected in Three-State Crimespree Captured in Iowa


Three teens suspected of multiple crimes in Nebraska, as well as in Iowa and Missouri have been captured in southwest Iowa.

Officials say the teens, two 16 year olds and one 13 year old, were found inside the public library in Sidney, Iowa. They fled from the library, but authorities say they were soon captured after foot chases.

Franklin County authorities were alerted to the possible presence of the teens when a pickup believed to have been stolen by the teens in Plattsmouth, Neb. was spotted in Sidney.

The teens are suspected of vehicle theft in Manning, Iowa where the teens were reported missing from a youth center; thefts in Nemaha County, Neb.; vehicle theft and arson in Cass County, Neb.; and involvement in a police pursuit in Atchison County, Mo.
