Toyota has tolddealers to put the brakes on the sales of certain models equipped with seatheaters.
The auto-maker saidthe reason for the halt in sales is that seat heaters in some of its models donot comply with federal standards. Toyota said a section of the heated seatsare supposed to be made of materials to slow flames at a specific rate.
The stop-sale affectscertain Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Sienna, Tacoma and Tundra vehicles. Toyota saidthey are preparing changes to address the problem.
The automaker addedthat there have been no reports of incidents or injuries and they are notissuing a recall because of what they consider a very low safety risk.
