LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- The Nebraska Trapshooting Association is hosting its annual trapshooting contest for students.
The Cornhusker Trapshoot event is May 2 to 4 at the association's headquarters in Doniphan.
Students in grades 6 through 12 nationwide are welcome to compete. Officials expect about 2,400 shooters to compete.
The competition will be divided into team and individual divisions. Junior high students are expected to shoot 100 16-yard targets on May 2. High school competitors will shoot 75 16-yard targets May 3, then 75 handicap targets May 4.
The shooter with the highest combined score will earn the Cornhusker Cup.
