Trial Ordered for Genoa Man Accused in Crash that Killed Mother
The case of a Genoa man accused of driving drunk in an accident that killed his mother has been ordered to go to trial.
Michael Logan, 46, is scheduled to be arraigned in Platte County District Court on March 28.
Authorities say Logan was driving drunk when he turned in front of oncoming traffic northwest of Columbus on Dec. 10.
They say he was heading south toward Columbus on U.S. Highway 81 when he tried to turn left and another vehicle struck the passenger side of Logan's vehicle.
Logan's mother, 63-year-old Lois Reynolds, of Genoa, was killed, and the driver of the northbound car, 42-year-old Jeannine Velazquez, of Norfolk, was injured.
