Trial Set for Man Accused of Driving Drunk with Chickens


A trial date has been set for a Grand Island man accused of driving drunk with one hundred chickens in his vehicle.

Luis Motola-Polacio, 36, entered not guilty pleas on all counts Wednesday morning.
Charges include aggravated drunk driving, driving with a suspended license and livestock cruelty.
He's the man accused of having dozens of chickens in the back of his SUV when he was pulled over for drunk driving about a month ago.
He's scheduled to stand trial in July, for the jury term starting July 7 at 9 a.m.
He is out of jail on bond.
