UNL Looking to Raise Pool to Help Make Up Budget Shortfall
The University of Nebraska- Lincoln may have to cut into its pool of moneyfor raises in the next budget year to help cover a projected shortfall of $4.6 million.
Chancellor Harvey Perlman released a list ofproposed cuts on Monday that total about 1 percent of the university budget.
Included was over $3 million from the salary pool,making the expected increase only 2 percent instead of the expected 3 percent.
The proposed cuts will go before the Academic Planning Committee for review.
