      What to do if the Flu Caught Up to You

      If you found yourself unable to evade the flu there are some things that might help make you feel better as the virus runs its course.

      Get plenty of rest -- if you don't feel you have the energy for a task, don't do it.

      Drink lots of fluids -- make sure to stay hydrated.

      Get Vitamin C in your system -- eat lots of foods with Vitamin C and pick beverages with Vitamin C, such as orange juice.

      Some great tips for trying to prevent getting the flu include:

      • Get vaccinated.
      • Wash your hands regularly -- Use warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds.
      • Disinfect germ hotspots -- Toys, phones, door knobs and faucets.
