The Nebraska Wine & Jazz Festival will be coming back toKearney on May 17 and 18 for its sixth year of showcasing wines from a number of Nebraska vineyards, as well as jazz music performed by Nebraska musicians.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Kearney Area Community Foundation'sgeneral fund used for giving grants back to the community, as well as operatingthe organization.
The event is being held at the city's parking lot at the corner of25th Street and Central Avenue, on "The Bricks" of Downtown Kearney on Friday, May 17 from 5-11 p.m. and Saturday, May 18 from 3-11 p.m.
Attendees will pay an admission fee and receive a souvenir glass tosample Nebraska wines and hear outstanding Nebraska jazz musicians. There will also be a retail opportunity topurchase your favorite wine from one of Nebraska's premier vineyards, as wellas local food vendors and microbrewery on site. Attendees must be 21 or older.
Tickets are $25 per day, or $40 for both days. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at www.wineandjazzfest.org.
