Hallam is a quiet option for viewing solar eclipse
HALLAM, Neb. —
Hallam will be directly in the path for the solar eclipse on Aug. 21. The town of 250 is located halfway between Lincoln and Beatrice, 4 miles off of the major highway 77.
A public park on the north end of Harrison Street has open areas where the eclipse can be viewed; viewers are advised to drive toward the water tower.
Visitors can take advantage of a Restaurant, Bar, Post Office, Bank with a 24 hour ATM, and self service gas pumps.
Visitors parking on Main Street are advised be sure it is a marked parking space. Side street parking is also permitted.
