On the Menu - Fudgesicles - Fran Schaffer



In an 8-cup Pyrex pitcher, combine:

1/2 cup sugar

2 Tablespoons cornstarch

2 Tablespoons cocoa

2 1/2 cups milk

Mix well and microwave on high 4 minutes; return to the microwave and continue cooking on High in 1-minute interval until mixture thickens. Remove from heat, add: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 Tablespoon butter Pinch of salt Pour into 5 oz.

Dixie cups and freeze until almost frozen; place a wooden or plastic spoon in the center. Return to the freezer until frozen solid. You can remove the cup or eat the fudgesicle from the cup, your choice.
